The New Owners

Matthew and Gillian moved from Ireland in June 2011 to Cousley Wood and fell in love with the area so much they decided to acquire the local pub.

“We fell in love with the area straight away and were made to feel extremely welcome by the local community.
The Old Vine is a dream pub for us steeped in history and character.

We aim to focus on the traditional core values of a country pub to create a place where people can meet, drink and enjoy each others company.

To create a hub for the community focusing on traditional homemade food sourced with the best of British and Irish ingredients at affordable prices, supported by local ales and quality wines.

We welcome walkers, dogs and all lovers of the countryside to come and enjoy open fires in the bar or join us in the restaurant and sample good old fashioned home cooking and seafood specials at the weekend.
